Experience Some of Washington’s Best Whitewater
The Methow River Near Pateros offers some of Washington State’s best whitewater but has a fairly short whitewater season. Dropping over 500 feet in 19 miles, there is plenty of whitewater to be paddled on the Methow River. There are many great rapids, with the highlight being the Black Canyon Rapids.
The Black Canyon Rapids are sure to thrill and challenge even experienced rafters, and they are followed by a series of Class III and IV whitewater rapids including Staircase, Shoshone, Hurricane, Roadside Attraction, Another Roadside Attraction, Little Niagra, and many more. The Methow River is our most popular river with return clients due to all the great whitewater and all the surrounding outdoor recreation, including Lake Chelan, Leavenworth, Winthrop, and Wenatchee.
All rafting trips include a wetsuit, booties, a PFD for everyone, as well as a guide in each boat, all safety gear, and round-trip shuttle service to your car.
Expect to get wet! River Recreation rafts rain or shine. River Recreation is happy to offer you our comfortable and spacious picnic area with plenty of umbrella-covered tables to enjoy your self-packed picnic-style lunch either before or after the rafting excursion. Please do not bring keys, phones, or anything you cannot lose with you on the river. We will have a secure place to leave your car keys.
Bring suntan lotion, a swimsuit, a bottle of water to drink, some cash, an extra fleece top if it is cold, a change of clothes, and you can leave a towel in your car for after the trip.
