River Recreation, Inc
We are the undisputed Wenatchee river rafting specialists, running more sections of the Wenatchee river than anyone else! If hot, sunny whitewater with a beautiful backdrop is what you're looking for, this is the one for you. The Wenatchee River is Washington's most popular whitewater rafting river due in part to its huge waves, which are accompanied by Eastern Washington's heat and dry weather. Our guests come back year after year to raft the Wenatchee River with us again and again.
The Wenatchee River is loved by all kinds of river runners, from the adventure seekers to the first time rafters. It can be enjoyed by new and veteran paddlers alike, great for kids (12 and up in June, 10 and up in July) and first-time paddlers. Not only is the Wenatchee River Washington's top rafting trip, but it ranks within the top 10 most popular rivers for whitewater rafting in the entire U.S.! Whether you're planning a vacation with family and friends or a team building afternoon get-a-way, the Wenatchee River has what you are looking for.

Higher water flows are consistent throughout late May and June and provide a memorable whitewater experience. For river runners looking for a calmer experience, booking a trip on the Wenatchee River in July and early August may be your best bet for a good first trip. Also, in July and early August, we allow younger children on the river for a great first time river experience. Check out our Wenatchee real-time water and weather info for the Wenatchee River and surrounding area to get an idea of how the river will be running this weekend and what to expect at different water levels.
We begin our trip near the Bavarian Village of Leavenworth in an alpine setting of the Cascade Mountains. The river meanders through the towns of Peshastin and Cashmere, starting in orchards of apples and pears progressing to a desert setting. The float comes to an end in the small town of Monitor at our Eastern Washington base camp, right on the banks of the Wenatchee River. During your journey, you will challenge many Class III rapids such as Snowblind, Drunkard's Drop, and Rock 'n Roll which drop into pools of calm water, giving you plenty of time to get ready for what's around the next bend.

Our trip concludes with a well-earned riverside lunch buffet (lunch is served before rafting on afternoon trips), the biggest lunch buffet on the river! We fire up the barbecue at base camp and cook up enough hamburgers, hot dogs, and garden burgers to feed an army. Enjoy salad, fruit, and potato salad in between burgers. So, bring your appetite because there's plenty for seconds and thirds!
New in 2009! Our Wenatchee river basecamp has received a make-over not to be missed. We now offer showers at our facility. We are the first to offer out-door, solar heated showers for our guests in the Wenatchee valley! Our Eastern Washington base camp offers a great setting for parties, family reunions, and corporate events. In addition, come experience our basecamp complete with private picnic area, in-door changing rooms, hammock corner, a multi-purpose area, private parking, full kitchen, camping, and the "River Booty" retail center. Camping is available both at our base camp and at nearby campgrounds. We are the only outfitter on the Wenatchee River to have our own community style camping grounds at the meeting point on the river - no one else running the river can compare! We truly are the Wenatchee river experts!
