Green River Gorge
Current Water & Weather Conditions

The green is much like a large funnel, being controlled by the Howard Hanson Dam just upstream of the put-in. We have a small window of opportunity for good water levels on the green. The season tends to be only about four weeks a year, from mid April till mid May. The weather on the Green tends to be pretty cold, so make sure to bring your extra warm fleece.
1200-1500 CFS - Lower Levels
The beautifully scenery of the "hanging gardens" of the Green river
gorge is breath-taking. At lower levels, the river calms down just
enough to allow us to really soak the surroundings.
1500-1900 CFS - Medium Levels
These levels give a perfect combination of beautiful scenery and adventurous whitewater.
2000-4000 CFS - High Levels
Big long rapids consisting of large, breaking waves pounding you to the
floor of the boat. Good thing you have a life-jacket on, you just might
need it on this ride!
