#2 - Continuing training

River Recreation staff members are on a continuing training regiment that no other company in Washington can contend with. This includes raft flipping drills in the off season, worst-case scenario on-river training drills, and our own Rescue 3 international Whitewater Rescue Technician instructor Kent Fritchman, which allows us to up the bar when it comes to continuing training. We are one of the only Rafting companies on the West coast of the USA that has our own on-staff WRT instructor. This allows us for much more accessibility to continuing training and up-to-date rescue trends. We literally set the bar for rescue training for employees and have other companies trying to keep up.

We here at River Recreation, have a have huge sense of teamwork and have one of the best return-guide ratios in the industry. How many other companies can say the they have several guides that have been with the company more than 10 years? Our average guide experience level is 7 years of whitewater. Most of our guides have logged more trips and training hours than most other guides on the west coast of the US!

Our office is headed out by Don Martin, the president of River Recreation. Don has been rafting and kayaking for 15 years now and knows all the ins and outs of all the rivers we run. Just ask him, he will get down to specific rocks in each river and give you the low-down on all the cool camping spots and all the fun nite-life in the area. In addition, all of our office staff are guides on the river as well as office people. This makes them very knowledgeable about all the runs we offer as well as all the local attractions.

#6 - Awesome on river basecamp!

We are one of the only outfitters to offer a deluxe on-river basecamp on the banks of the Wenatchee river. Our basecamp offers a private picnic area, indoor changing rooms, on-site bathrooms, a multi-purpose area, and some camping - all on the banks of the Wenatchee river! We offer full run of our complete facility to all customers coming with us on the Wenatchee river. This means you don't have to compete with 5 other companies and 600 other rafters for a spot to sit and enjoy all the beauty the Wenatchee has to offer

We have the biggest barbecue on the river. This monster can grill 70 burgers at once! It is even mounted on its own trailer! in addition, we have mastered the art of a perfect on-river BBQ and pride ourselves on this fact.

All trips with River Recreation include the rental of a wetsuit, booties, PFD and Helmet. This gear is included in every trip at no additional cost! We constantly update all rafts, safety gear and general river gear to offer industry setting standard, professional gear.
